Funding

The PWP is generously funded by the Landscape Research Group (LRG) 2023 Research Fund Theme Landscapes and Care.

Their funding supports recent interventions in Landscape Research that foreground care as a social, cultural, and ecological practice fundamental to our understandings of landscape and closely relates to the intentions of the LRG to actively promote an ”ethos of care in the way we think, write and practice landscape research.

What is a landscape of care? The term has become part of the methodological lexicon of health geography in recent years and the LRG is interested in broadening this field of vision to support research that reflects the multi-textured, complex and challenging ways in which questions of place and space weigh into urgent matters of ecological and cultural wellbeing.

LRG’s Research Strategy aims to add to the body of knowledge on landscape and care by critically exploring the ways in which place, power and wellbeing have become produced, entangled and contested.

The Posthuman Walking Project is delighted to receive support from the LRG, with research outcomes shared across our platforms.
